Storytime Hollow Collective

What is a system?A system is a mind shared by multiple distinct identities, often called alters. Each alter has their own thoughts, memories, feelings, and ways of interacting with the world. Systems often form as a coping mechanism, usually in response to trauma or overwhelming experiences. Parts of the mind may split off to hold emotions, memories, or responsibilities that feel too heavy for the core self, creating a network of identities that help the system survive, adapt, and navigate life. Why we existWe are the Storytime Hollow Collective, a curated library of selves. Each alter has a role β€” some nurture, some protect, some explore, some carry burdens β€” and together we create a functioning, resilient whole. Littles regress to cope and find comfort. Protectors and gatekeepers maintain safety and structure. Chaos-driven or edgy alters express what the others cannot, holding difficult emotions so the rest of us can function. Our purpose hereThis space is for documenting and sharing our system safely. It’s a place to show who we are, our personalities, interests, triggers, and aesthetics β€” without judgment or fetishization. Think of it as a living library: quiet, organized, and personal, where each alter has a shelf, a story, and a voice. We ask for respect and understanding, as this is a deeply private and carefully curated space.
